Relieves cable tension
MUX cable tension system always takes care of constant tension in MUX cables between riser and rig in Moonpool area. Same tension system can also be used for Hot Line hose. One system is needed for each cable/hose.
- The system increases the lifespan of cables and minimizes the risk of cable breakage during operation.
- The system is “powered by gravity” and has no need for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or other power sources.
- Short time of installation. (Can be installed during “in between wells”
- 1 200 kg [2 646 lbs] heavy wagon in 6 pulleys system will give 200 kg [441 lbs] constant tension in cables.
- 3,35 m [11 feet] wagon movement in 6 pulleys system allows rig movement up to 20 m [65 feet.]
